We've started a blog!

Hello family and friends!

We did it. We started our very own family blog and you are reading our very first entry. With so many family and friends scattered all across the U.S., this seemed to be the most practical way to keep everyone updated (because you know, we are just oh-so fascinating:). Plus, I just thought this was way cool. I will try to update the blog as much as I can. With working, going to school and taking care of little miss priss, it's hard finding any down time.

Mary Ellen is growing by the day. It's hard to believe she is nearly 41/2 months old. It is going by so fast. We head to the doctors tomorrow (Monday) for some more shots and I think I am dreading it more than Mary Ellen. That girl can scream when she is mad!!!! And she gets mad when those needles head her way. I can't stand it. My heart hurts when she hurts.

Development wise Mary Ellen is doing well. She is currently obsessed with talking and eating her right foot. She is working on rolling over - she almost has it. She is still a very good sleeper and continues to sleep through the night. We put her to bed around 7 p.m. and it has really helped to put her to bed awake. I got over the crying. I let her cry all the time. It really works. After maybe 10 minutes, girlfriend is ASLEEP and mommy is HAPPY. It took about three days to break the "putting her to bed asleep" habit. Whatever you do fellow mommies - do not go in that room. I had a good friend tell me that if "Mary Ellen is breathing, then she's is fine." I had to repeat that the entire 45 minutes she cried the first day I tried it. Then the time became less and less. Now she rarely cries at all. I just lay her to bed and sing her a few songs and nighty night!

Brannon is doing well at his job and he is such a good Daddy. He is so in love right now and just adores Mary Ellen. No one can make her laugh like he can. She just eats him up!

Until next time, we love all of you!

A quick prayer - "Dear Lord, please help us stay connected with our loved ones as best we can. It is often difficult to find the time with everyone's busy schedules and life's demands. Remind us, Lord, to put some time aside for each other whenever we can. Next to you Lord, family and friends matter most."

I wonder what they are deep in thought about!

Mary Ellen wore this dress for Baby Dedication. She also wore this the day she came home from the hospital.
